ULTIMATE--The First Four Decades was created with the help of about 100 Ultimate players. Many of them wrote sidebars of their experiences as they lived them. It is their stories that make up the history of Ultimate. The book is filled with awesome highlights from the game’s legendary personalities, teams and tournaments.
The game’s greatest photographers have their photos reprinted in ULTIMATE--The First Four Decades as well as many amateur photographers from the '70s, '80s and '90s.
The book was edited and largely written by veteran Ultimate reporters Tony Leonardo and Adam Zagoria. Both Adam and Tony have been playing Ultimate for more than 15 years and have written about the game for the UPA Newsletter, Chasing Plastic, The Newark Star-Ledger, The Herald News, The New York Press and the 2002 and 2004 Worlds Programs, etc.
Published by Joe Seidler, an Ultimate dad.
